The Snowtunnel® Story

Years in the making, we’re snow mad technology nerds who are passionate about our mission: Bringing the Snow™ and making people smile.

Snowtunnel® was invented by Darren Visser with a  dream to give snowboarders, skiers, and other snow sports lovers all over the world the chance to shred all year round, anytime, in any weather and close to home.

Using his metal working talents, Darren built the very first prototype from scrap metal parts in his backyard shed. Providing hours of fun, he knew with the right help he could further develop the technology to make the rider experience more amazing to appeal to the emerging action sport technology market.

Chris Northwood, Scott Kessler and Daniel Portelli (all diehard alpine enthusiasts) immediately aligned to the vision and set about founding the company and establishing the commercial business to continue R+D development and build a business model that could be scaled around the globe.
